Trivia Time Extra
Below is the coolest TV spot that was never seen in the US. It's almost perfect, but there is a major flaw. The first two persons who can tell me in detail what the flaw is wins a Free Pass for the month of January on Trivia Time.
Rick and Becks. Yeah it;s a cool ad. ie was shot in San Francisco, and Lalo's music from Bullitt is a very cool touch, but the flaw is there if you know what to look for. I bet Ms Steve Mc Queen fan Sharileee could find it .
My wife noticed that the car at the end, which is like the one he drove in BULLITT, has the Mustang logo on the front. But it isn't there in the movie.
Sark, your wife is correct. I could not get over the fact that they got that wrong and Steve's Son Chad was at the location , EWho could he let that go by? So I'll give Her the Free Pass for Next month, maybe she'll share it with you.
And Dawn, you were the first to figure out it was the Mustang(even though you did not tell me what was wrong) so you get the second "Free Pass" for January. This was fun.
Boy, Paul, I don't see anything. Do you have to know San Francisco or cars well? Anyway, it was a pleasure to see the cool McQueen!
ReplyDeleteLook again Becks it's there. I saw it the first time I watched it.
ReplyDeleteBTW,if you know the movie you should spot it pretty easy.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the movie that well, and I guess I'm blind as a bat. I'll have to wait for the right guesser!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen BULLITT in years and I stink at spotting mistakes in pictures...but the ad is cool.

ReplyDeletePaul, Is it the mustang sitting in the Garage? :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome ad.
Dawn your very very hot. Watch it again.
ReplyDeleteI'd say the major flaw is that it doesn't make me want to buy a Puma.
ReplyDeleteSark, That's not the major flaw, besides you have to be in Europe to buy one.
ReplyDeleteThen the major flaw is that it should more clearly appeal to European consumers.
ReplyDeleteMy last guess: Does the car change color during the commercial? It almost looks blue in the garage, though I attributed that to the lighting.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Paul. That was fun. As you can now tell, my wife is far cooler than me.
ReplyDeleteAnd Dawn, you were the first to figure out it was the Mustang(even though you did not tell me what was wrong) so you get the second "Free Pass" for January. This was fun.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a clue about this one but I sure enjoyed reading the blog! Well done, Paul and Mrs. Sark!
ReplyDeletePaul, I thought like Rick, That the color of the Mustang might be a mistake.
ReplyDeleteThis Was Fun. BTW I'll post the Mustang Ad at The Corner Of The Cafe
ReplyDeletethe youtube link has been terminated-is that the flaw?
