Ok, just a recap. Rick, no soup for you this week. Sharilee, you have a "free pass" this week. Sark's wife and Dawn ,your "free passes" are for January . All clear?
Who am I? I did films with Elvis, Bogie, Burt, and Kirk. Some people think I look better in Black & White than in color.
#1. Who did Bogie call Cinderella with a husky voice?
#2. In what film?
#3. Buck Henry did the screenplay for these two films and also had small but important roles. Name the films.
#4. Who were the two male stars of the NBC series The Wide Country?
#5. Brain Buster #1 When at NBC Fred Silverman had one of the biggest flops of the decade Name the show.
#6. Brain Buster #2. On The Greatest American Hero , what was Bill Maxell's (Robert Culp)favorite "stress reduction" snack?
#7. Brain Buster #3. Riptide takes place in King Harbor. Is it a real place? If so, where?
#8. Brain Buster #4. Who was Judd For the Defense?
#9. Brain Buster #5 Before Donna Reed & Hogan's Heroes, Bob Crane was a famous morning "Drive Time" DJ on what Southern Cal radio station?
#10. Brain Buster#6. Who replaced him?
I'll take the easy ones first. For #3, one of the films was THE GRADUATE. #5. Fred's big flop was SUPERTRAIN. #8. Carl Betz was JUDD FOR THE DEFENSE, a good lawyer show which didn't last long.
ReplyDeleteAre you Barbara Stanwyck?
ReplyDeleteRick #3 you need one more film . #5 and #8 are right, Gilby, No I'm not Barbara.
ReplyDelete#1 Lizabeth Scott?
ReplyDelete#2 Dead Reckoning?
These are just wild guesses:D
Dawn, Some wild guesses, your right on both counts.
ReplyDeleteI want to say you're Dolores Hart(who left Hollywood to become Nun) but I don't think she worked wirh Bogie.
ReplyDeleteBob Crane was on KNX radio in LA
ReplyDeletePaul, We have been talking a little about Dead Reckoning, over on Chick Flicks. :D
ReplyDeleteGilby No Not Dolores (A personal fav). KNX is right.I woke up and grew up with Bob for years. He was much better on radio then TV.
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe the third time will be the charm. Are you Michael Curtiz?
ReplyDeleteRege Cordic replaced Bob Crane on KNX
ReplyDeleteGilby, Strike 3 no I'm not Michael Curtiz. #10 is right. Rege Cordic the "King "of Pittsburugh Radio replaced Bob Crane , but He really did not go over as big as CBS-KNX wanted. KMPC was killing them in the morning ratings. So after about 18 months KNX went to 'All News" format Then CBS forced all it's owend and operated AM stations in to this format. BTW, KNX is Still the only "All New's AM station still going in the "LA Market".
ReplyDeleteOk, Paul then I must go with you are Lizbeth Scott. I hesitated to guess this before because it was the answer to #1.
ReplyDeleteGilby you are correct. I'm Lizabeth Scott.
