Name the Movie Game (5 January Edition)

This week's host is last week's winner: Kim Wilson!

As a reminder, here are the rules:

1. You may ask up to five yes or no questions a day. Each guess does count as one question.

2. Please number each question or each guess to make it easier for me to respond to them.

3. The player who is the first to guess the movie correctly will be the one to make the selection for the following week’s Name the Movie Game.

4. The game will end on Saturday night if the movie is not guessed before then.

I am thinking of a movie made in the 1930s.

  22. Is it OK to start guessing again?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Also I have another question, (not a guess), didn't someone ask about whether it takes place in the 1930s?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Kim, great recap! Here goes (and I may be "wrong again")

    1. Is it "A Tale of Two Cities"?

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's early, but since people are starting to guess, I'm gonna guess too.

    1. Is it "Raffles"?
    2. Is it "Arrowsmith"?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Tom, I don't think there are any rules about when you can guess. Anyway, you are the winner, as it is Raffles (1930) with Ronald Colman. Congrats! Thanks to all who played--I had fun.

  27. Great job, Tom! Are you game (pun intended) for picking next week's movie?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Congratulations, Tom! This was a fun game, Kim. And, Saz, I was thinking of guessing "A Tale of Two Cities" myself. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.

  31. Tom, if you're willing to host next week's game, please send your one clue (the decade the film was made) to classic.film.tv.cafe@gmail.com by next Monday night. I'll post your clue and the rules on Tuesday between 6:00 and 7:00 PM CST. Then the game will be afoot!
