  1. #10 - "Winchester 73" was his second western, but the first with Anthony Mann. ("Destry Rides Again" was the first; I am assuming you are counting it as a western)

  6. Wow OK , Tom, Good to see you here. Winchester 73 was really James's 3rd westeren, Broken Arrow was "In The Can "before Winchester 73 but was released after. Dawn your are correct on all 3. Saz, I'm impressed as always . Your correct!

  10. Rick ,your quote of the last line of the film is correct, and your right no planes made it back to base. Saz #8 is correct. For #5 you got half of it, still need one more thing. BTW James had Howard Koch as a co-writer on 633. Tom sorry you thought # 10 is too confusing,I admit it was tricky . Thats why I asked if the film was released second. According to IMDb Broken Arrow was finished before work was started on Winchester 73.

  14. Tom , you might want to check out the Nior Chick Flicks Western page. We have a number of post's about "Destry." To answer your question, The first version was done in 1932 and stared Tom Mix. Jimmy's version was the first "remake" and it was remade a second time in 1954 with Audie Murphy as the star.
