AKA It's All Your Fault, Eve!
LOL!
Since Lady Eve has blown away all 10 questions plus one out of two Who Am I?s (as of the time of this post), I decided to offer a bonus round for those who have not yet had time to play:
11. Name the film that brought these three together:
a) A remarkable character actor (a refugee from Nazi Germany) who died only 5 years after this film was made.
b) A young actress (nominated once for Best Supporting Actress) who died only 8 years after this film was made.
c) The elder brother of the actor who was Zelda's love in a late '50s-early '60s TV sitcom.
12. Name the lead actor in the film in #11.
13. Name the two future '50s TV stars who were in the 1941 Abbott and Costello movie Hold That Ghost.
14. Name the shows for the stars in #13.

I think I've got a couple:
ReplyDelete11(c) Darryl Hickman
13 Joan Davis and Shemp
14 The Joan Davis Show and 3 Stooges
Hi Becks, 11(c) is Darryl Hickman, and 13 is partly right....Joan Davis is correct. Shemp is not who I was looking for, but I'll give you a bonus point. For 14, the Joan Davis show was also known as what? The 3 Stooges is not what I'm looking for. Local stations were running syndicated shorts, but they didn't have a formal "show", per se.
ReplyDeleteFor 14, it was actually I Married Joan. I forgot about that until you mentioned another name. (I never liked Joan Davis very much -- too slapstick for me. I liked Eve Arden in Our Miss Brooks -- she's my type!)
ReplyDeleteBecks, you're right...it was I Married Joan! For a free pass next week, who played Joan's husband and what was his occupation? No, sorry, it wasn't Errol Flynn, LOL!
ReplyDeleteP.S. JoAnn agrees with you, she's a big fan of Eve Arden.
Jim Backus was a judge
ReplyDeleteBeelzabub gets a free pass!! Jim Backus was Joan's husband and was indeed a judge on the show. Good job!
