You are correct on all three!
DeleteWait! I'm back. I thought I would be all day figuring out tricky #14, but it just came to me. Monte Markham! He played Perry in The New Perry Mason and was in the TV movie remake of Death Takes a Holiday.
ReplyDeleteOK, we'll allow a daily bonus because you are a veteran MTVCG player! Yes, you got one of the tricker questions in this edition.
DeleteYou are most gracious as my enthusiasm got the better of me.
DeleteNumbers 10 and 14 were my favorites today. Well done!

Delete7. Both did drag.
ReplyDelete14. Gail Patrick links to originals of Perry Mason and Death takes a Holiday....

ReplyDelete#8 Bankers-Mary Poppins' employer, Mr. Banks, and Mr.Drysdale, banking neighbor of The Clampetts

All your answers are correct and special kudos for getting #9! There's also a literary (sort of) connection between Joan and Tom. Burt and Lloyd share another connection...of the occupation kind.
DeleteThere are still answers awaiting for 2, 3, 9, and 11.
ReplyDelete2. Well, Conway and Fontaine both starred in episodes of Alfred Hitchcock's TV series (half-hour and hour versions, respectively), and both were featured in sub-related films, Tom in "The Atomic Submarine" and Joan in "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". Success?
ReplyDeleteAs for #3, Joseph Stefano wrote the screenplay for Hitch's "Psycho" and was a writer/producer for "The Outer Limits" (including my favorite episode, The Zanti Misfits).
Very well done with Joseph Stefano. "Zanti Misfits" is awesome...my third favorite. Did a post on my top 5 several years ago: https://www.classicfilmtvcafe.com/2012/08/the-five-best-outer-limits-episodes.html. That's another great connection with Joan and Tom...but also see below.
Delete2.Jane Eyre and the Eyre-influenced I Walked With a Zombie.
ReplyDeleteTerrific job, Bill! That turned out to be a little difficult.

Delete#11 Both ran traveling circuses-Eastwood in Bronco Billy-(1980) and Kristofferson in Big Top Pee-wee-(1988)
ReplyDeleteThat's impressive and I never even thought of it. There's also another connection...and it's the final one for this edition of our game.

ReplyDeleteI'll try one last connection for 11: Both played truck drivers, Eastwood in Every Which Way But Loose and Kristofferson in Convoy.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jerome, truckers is what I was going for...but who could have imagined that Clint and Kris had so much in common? Frankly, I'm now surprised Clint wasn't married to Rita Coolidge, too....
